Oliver Twist
Written by Charles Dickens and Adapted by Jeremy Brock

Auditions will take place on Sun 17 Nov from 10am – 5pm.
If you make it through to the call-back auditions, you will be notified by phone.
Adapted from the novel by Charles Dickens, Jeremy Brock’s splendidly theatrical stage version of Oliver Twist combines all the richness of Dickens’s story – the sinister antics of Fagin, the comic pomposity of Mr Bumble the Beadle, all with a dark twist. This adaptation has great parts for all gendered performers. This production will also feature original music by David Lewington who has been Musical Director for previous Young Company Productions including Our Day Out – The Musical and Treasure Island.
We are looking for young people with an interest in acting, singing and dancing, aged between 9 & 22, to audition for this production. We also want to hear from those with a flair for character roles and who play a musical instrument.
You need to be hard-working, keen to develop your acting, singing & dancing skills and be prepared to attend ALL rehearsals if offered a place. You will be required to attend weekly rehearsals Mon 20 Jan – Tue 7 Apr on Tuesday evenings from 6pm to 9pm – venue TBC. You also need to be prepared to attend extra dates as we near the production which will include some weekends.
There is a fee for being a part of this production which is £150. This fee will be payable once cast in the Company.
If you are a member of the Youth Theatre and continuing in the spring term, you will be entitled to a reduced fee of £100.
There are some scholarship places available – please contact Katie Wright to enquire.
