Wild Arts presents their popular Opera Evening, featuring dramatic intrigue, jealousy, and comedy.
Follow the four characters’ journeys through a lucid story that segues through over a dozen operas, with a programme including O mio Babbino Caro, the Act I Quartet from Beethoven’s Fidelio alongside lesser-known pieces from Bellini, Weill and Handel, high drama from Tchaikovsky, and lively ensembles by Mozart, Rogers and Hammerstein, and Rossini.

A quintet of exceptional string players accompanies singers including the ‘exquisite’ Galina Averina who will soon make her Opera North début in the lead role of Magda in La Rondine by Puccini, the ‘magnetic’ Martha Jones, and outstanding tenor Richard Dowling.

Wild Arts is a company of fine musicians and creatives, presenting opera with effervescent storytelling and quality performers, without the staid trappings of traditional opera. The company will be bringing their new production of The Magic Flute by Mozart to The Apex on Thursday, 27th June 2024. Tickets will be on sale soon.
